Wakayama Prefecture decided to start operating an e-contract service using CloudSign®︎ from February 2025. Implementation of this service will enable the digitization of contract procedures for more than 3,000 businesses*2, improving operational efficiency.

CloudSign®︎ is being implemented with the aim of digitizing all contract procedures that were previously paper-based and in-person processes, optimizing business operations and accelerating digital transformation initiatives. The digitization of contract procedures that were previously paper-based is expected to improve convenience for prefecture residents and government officials while businesses that use the e-service will also benefit from more efficient contract procedures and lower costs.
■ Statement from Wakayama Prefecture
With the establishment of the Wakayama Prefectural Government Office DX Promotion Headquarters in April 2022, Wakayama Prefecture started to fully implement DX initiatives for a shift towards full digital government. As part of this, the prefecture will implement a cloud-based e-contract system from Monday, February 24, 2025. Through the digitization of most contracts, we intend to further accelerate the digitization of all organizations. Going forward, we will continue actively working to improve services for prefecture residents and increase the efficiency of government services through the use of digital technologies.”
