Bengo4.com (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Taichiro Motoe, Representative Director, President and CEO, Lawyer; hereinafter, the “Company”) announces the release of a new AI Document Analysis feature for Bengo Kakumei, a digital document support tool for lawyers. The feature uses AI to analyze case files and generate text in the form of timelines and written statements.

■ Background and Purpose of Development
In Japan, in an effort to promote the digitalization of judicial procedures, the IT reforms of civil court procedures—centered on the three key pillars of e-Filing, e-Case Management, and e-Court—are set to be fully implemented by June 2026. These reforms will enable complaints and evidence to be submitted via the internet, will enable courts to manage cases digitally, and will enable hearings to be held via web conferences, marking a major shift away from traditional paper-based processes. However, even as the digitization of court procedures progresses, lawyers continue to bear a heavy burden regarding the organizing and analysis of the vast volume of documents required for litigation. In particular, reviewing evidence and related materials, drafting statements, and organizing information chronologically is still largely done manually, meaning that the benefits of digitalization have yet to be fully realized. In response to this situation, the Company has implemented AI functions in Bengo Kakumei, its digital document support tool, to further promote the digital transformation of legal practices. This feature not only contributes to the streamlining and digital transformation of legal work, but also advances the digitalization of the legal field as a whole, supporting the delivery of faster and more effective legal services.

No complex prompts are required, making the feature intuitive and easy to use.
