Bengo4.com (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Taichiro Motoe, Representative Director, President and CEO, Lawyer; hereinafter, “the Company”) announces that its contract management platform CloudSign has been selected for the Information Accessibility Good Practices 2024 initiative, hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC).

■ Reasons for CloudSign’s Selection
CloudSign has been working actively to improve accessibility so that all users, including those with visual or physical disabilities, can sign contracts using electronic signatures without any issues. This time, CloudSign was selected as part of the Information Accessibility Good Practices 2024 initiative, in recognition of its efforts to ensure accessibility in situations where users may feel psychological difficulties in signing contracts.

- Making electronic contracts accessible to anyone
CloudSign was recognized for enabling visually impaired and physically disabled people—who would previously have had difficulty checking, filling in, and signing paper contracts—to check the contents of documents and sign contracts by themselves.

- Development process incorporating the voices of users
CloudSign conducts usability tests with people with disabilities, and reflects their feedback in its development activities. It has also received advice from accessibility experts, and is working to improve the accuracy of its implementations.

- Promoting accessibility throughout the company
To improve web accessibility, CloudSign has adopted a design system to ensure accessibility, and engages in continuous quality improvement efforts, such as holding regular accessibility study sessions for product developers. CloudSign was also commended for its proactive stance, including the implementation of company-wide accessibility training.
