Bengo4.com Publishes "Digital Transformation in Professional Services: White Paper 2025" Surveying and Analyzing the Use of AI and DX in Seven Professional Services Including Lawyers and Tax Accountants

Press Release

Mar 05 2025

Bengo4.com (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Taichiro Motoe, Representative Director, President and CEO, Lawyer; hereinafter, “the Company”) announces that its Professional Tech Lab, which investigates and communicates new possibilities for the use of professional knowledge, has published and announced the Digital Transformation in Professional Services: White Paper 2025  (104 pages in total), investigating and analyzing the use of AI and the outlook for digital transformation (DX) in seven professions (lawyers, tax accountants, certified public accountants, judicial scriveners, administrative scriveners, social insurance and labor attorneys, and patent attorneys).

■ Background to publication of the Digital Transformation in Professional Services: White Paper 2025

Bengo4.com was founded in 2005, and this year celebrates its 20th anniversary. For the past 20 years, the Company has leveraged the power of technology to support the work of lawyers and tax accountants. In recent years, the widespread adoption of generative AI is bringing about major changes in the way professionals work. In light of these changes in the professional environment, the Company has published the Digital Transformation in Professional Services: White Paper 2025 to explore the potential for advancement through the use of technology, not only in its own business areas (primarily legal services and tax accountancy), but also in the seven professions as a whole.

The Company has conducted wide ranging research and analysis into the present and future of the seven professions, including calculating DX expectation scores across the seven professions, summarizing and analyzing the issues for each profession, conducting surveys of the professions and their users, interviewing service developers, and creating a DX services list. Amid concerns that the work of professionals may be replaced by AI, Bengo4.com hopes that this white paper will provide some hints as to how the use of AI by professionals can help spread specialist knowledge throughout society.
